Hey there, I’m Angela and I fell in love with surfing after my very first lesson in Malibu (shoutout to Groupon for that life-changing deal). Surfing has been a journey—one with plenty of time off in between—but no matter what I always find my way back.

I’m proud to say I was one of the first members of this club (Girls Who Can’t Surf Good), and it completely opened my eyes to the fact that I don’t have to paddle out alone. It’s been amazing connecting with other women who share the same stoke, and I’m grateful for spaces like this that make the lineup feel more welcoming.

embracing the journey

I’ll probably always be a girl who can’t surf good and I’m 100% okay with that. My goal? Keep progressing where I can and, most importantly, have fun while doing it. You can find me at @msangelakwon
